Protecting Your Work Online
Having a virtual gallery online can be the easiest and cheapest way to exhibit and sell your art, but many artists remain concerned about the security of their images on the internet. Here are two simple tips to ease those worries.
- Display your images on low resolution. By compressing the image and using a low resolution, you limit the chance for misuse by whoever views it.
- Place a copyright symbol and your name or URL directly on the image as a text layer. This simple exercise not only protects your work, but also serves as an advertisement should someone want to contact you. If you don’t have a website, use your telephone number.
